Concern for missing Peacehaven man

Concern is growing for a 59-year-old man from Peacehaven who went missing on Wednesday (22 May).
James Dobbie, of Fairlight Manor in Fairlight Avenue, was last seen at 10am at the care home in which he lives. He left the address and has not been seen since, although he is known to have links to the Brighton area.
James is described as white, 5' 4" tall, of slim build and with dark/grey messy hair. He was wearing a black O'Neil coat, a grey cardigan, blue trouers and a black shoes. He also had a shaving cut to his top lip.A police spokesperson said: "We are growing increasinglng concerned for the welfare of James, who may be in the Peacehaven orBrighton area. If anyone knows of his whereabouts, or thinks they

may have seen him, then we would urge them to call police on 101 quoting serial 0359 of 22 May."

13 year old Hastings boy Missing

Police are concerned for the whereabouts of 13-year-old Jack Perriman is missing from his home in Hastings.
 
Jack who has been staying with fosters carers in Bexhill Road was last seen on Tuesday 14 May at about 9pm.
 
He originally comes from the London area but has friends and acquaintances in Hastings. He may have been wearing a St Leonards Academy uniform when last seen. He is described as 5' 5', of medium build, with dark brown short hair and blue eyes. He speaks with a southern accent.
 
Inspector Philip Hogan said: "We are concerned for the whereabouts of Jack. He does have links with London and Hastings. Anyone who has seen him or knows of his whereabouts is urged to contact police on 101 quoting serial 0031 of 15/5."

 

 

Met Police believe missing woman could be in Sussex

The Metropolitan Police are appealing for help to find a woman missing from Haringey.Tina Harrison, 57, was last seen on Wednesday 15 May inTottenham. Tina is described as white, 5' 1" to 5' 3" tall and of stocky build. She is known to wear large pink framed glasses. It is not known what clothing she might be wearing.Tina is known to have family in the Nazeing area but may have travelled to Sussex, or Hertfordshire.Anyone with information is asked to contact the Missing Persons Unt at Hornsey police station on 020 8345 1809 (office hours) or via 101.

Missing man from St Leonards

25 April 2013Police are becoming increasingly concerned for a 66-year-old man from St Leonards who has been missing for several days.Paul Osmond left his home address last Thursday (18 April) but was last seen at St Mary's House in Eastbourne on Sunday (22 April) when he went to visit his social worker. He left after being told he would have to wait for 20 minutes and has not been seen since.

A police spokesperson said: "Paul has left his address with his belongings and it is possible he has either moved to the Blackpool area or is staying in Eastbourne. However, he is vulnerable due to his mental health and we want to know that he is safe and well.
"If anyone has any knowledge of Paul's whereabouts, or thinks they may recognise him, we would urge them to call police on 101 (Sussex) quoting serial 0410 of 19 April."
Paul has been described as white, of stocky build, 5' 4" tall, with short, cropped, greying hair. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, although he has a change of clothes with him.

 

 

Missing Man from Polegate

Police are asking for the public's help to try and trace a 63-year-old man from Polegate.
Brian Imison, of Black Path, was reported missing by his landlord just after midday after he failed to attend a pre-arranged meeting. Police have made contact with Brian's family, who are not local, but they have not heard from him for a couple of weeks.
a police spokesperson said: "We are concerned for Brian and would like him to make contact with either the police or his family so we can ensure he is safe and well."If anyone thinks they know of Brian's whereabouts, or have seen him locally, then we would ask them to call us as soon as possible on 101, quoting serial 0539 of 27 March."
Brian is described as white, with short greying hair. It is not known what he was wearing when he left his address.

 

Elderly man missing from Hove

Police are urgently appealing to the public for help in tracing an elderly man from Hove who has gone missing.
Francis Farrell, 80, was reported missing at midday today (Friday 19 April) when he left his address in Montefiore Road.He is described as white, about 5' 8" tall, with grey hair, wearing a green/brown long sleeved top, green/grey trousers and navy slippers. He may have a walking stick with him.
A police spokesperson said: "We are asking members of the public in the Hove area to be on the lookout for Mr Francis, who is extremely vulnerable due to his age and dementia.
"Officers are carrying out an extensive search to try and find him, but if anyone thinks they may have spotted him or knows of his whereabouts then we would ask them to call police immediately on 101, quoting serial 0639 of 19 April."

 

 

Missing Martin O'Boyle

Police are growing concerned for the welfare of Martin O'Boyle who has gone missing from Brantridge Lane in Balcombe.Mr O'Boyle, 46, was last seen at home at around 10pm on Sunday 6 January. His disappearance was reported to police at around 5.45pm yesterday (Monday 7 January).He is described as white, 5'11'', of slim build, with light brown shaved hair. He was last seen wearing a red hooded jumper, white T-shirt, blue jeans, mid-brown walking boots and a wax jacket.Chief Inspector Jon Hull, District Commander of Mid Sussex, said: "Mr O'Boyle has not been seen or heard from since 10pm on Sunday and we are concerned about his welfare."He doesn't appear to have taken any belongings with him and we would encourage Mr O'Boyle to contact police or his family so that we can make sure he is safe and well."

Anyone with information about Mr O'Boyle's whereabouts is asked to contact Sussex Police on 101 quoting serial 1203 of 7/1.

 

Tonie Cox

Surrey Police is growing concerned for the welfare of a teenage girl from Horley who has been missing since the weekend.Tonie Cox, 15, was last seen in Horley town at around 7pm on Saturday, 29 December and has not been in touch with family, friends or police since despite repeated requests to make contact.Tonie is described as white, 5ft 10ins tall, with mousy blonde shoulder length hair and was last seen wearing a blue Nike hooded top, blue jeans and a black and white scarf.She has gone missing previously but has either returned home or made contact with friends or family a short time after leaving.Police are urging Tonie to make contact with them as soon as possible so they can ensure that she is safe and well.

Officers from Surrey Police's Missing Persons Unit are carrying out extensive enquiries to try and locate Tonie and are appealing for assistance from members of the public to trace her.As well as conducting local enquiries and circulating her details through the NPIA Missing Persons Bureau, Surrey officers have been working with Sussex Police and Metropolitan Police colleagues to search areas including Hastings and St Leonards in East Sussex and Hounslow in south west London, where Tonie is known to have friends and connections.Anyone who thinks they may have seen Tonie is asked to call Surrey Police on 101 as a matter of urgency, quoting reference M/12/1328, or call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

 

Winifred Tanner

Concern is growing for an 81-year-old woman from Saltdean who went missing from her home on New Year's Eve.

Winifred Tanner was last seen around 5pm on Monday (December 31) and is thought to have gone missing between then and 6.15pm. She suffers from dementia and is not thought to have left her home in Longridge Avenue with a coat or umbrella, raising fears for her welfare given the wet weather and forecast low temperatures later in the night.

She is white, 5' 5", of slight build with sandy/grey short, receding hair and was wearing a long blue skirt, white polo top and a blue fleece.

Sussex Police have launched a search for her in the area and asking the public to also keep an eye out for her, especially New Year revellers who may see her out on the streets. Inspector Paul Ransome, who is leading the search, said: "We believe that Winifred has set out on foot, but it's possible that she may have managed to get some distance, perhaps on public transport. She may also have sought shelter somewhere and we would ask people to check porches, foyers, sheds, etc., just to make sure that she isn't there.

"If you do spot her, please call us on 101 quoting serial 977 of 31/12. If she is in danger or requires mediacal attention, please dial 999 immediately."

 

 

Police are concerned for the welfare of Shoreham man Robert Golden, 58, who has failed to return from a holiday in Spain. He flew on his own to Seville on 5 November and had bought a return flight on Easyjet to return on 19 November. However Robert, who has a passion for trekking, didn't board the return flight and hasn't been in touch with his brother or his colleagues in London where he works in IT. "We would ask Robert to get in touch to say he is safe and well. Mr George, aged 52, is described as black, around 6' and of slim build. He has long black plaited hair and wears glasses. He usually wears a green coloured hat. He was last seen wearing a green jacket with a white shirt and beige trousers and was carrying a white Footlocker bag. Police and Social Services are concerned for the welfare of David George who has been missing from his home in Hastings since Thursday 1 November. "If you have any information about where Mr George is,  call us on our non emergency number 101 quoting serial 0888 of 01/11."

Police are concerned about the safety of a woman who has gone missing from her home in Luton and has not been seen for a week. Shibna Begum, aged 35, was seen by her family on 21 November but has not made contact with them since. She has had a history of depression and had been upset recently. It is known that Shibna often travels by train to places where other family live, or sometimes makes apparently random journeys. She has recently travelled to Manchester, Brighton, Milton Keynes, Birmingham and Stevenage and has previously been located at train stations. Shibna is described as Asian, thin, about 5' 1', with black shoulder length hair and scars on her arms. She is believed to be wearing a three quarter length cream coat, and likely to be in black trousers and black shoes. She usually wears silver rings with purple stones on each finger.

16 Year old boy missing

Gbombo Neba has been missing from his Henfield care home since Thursday 9 August. It is believed that he was in the Worthing area, but there have been no recent sightings and police are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare. Gbombo is originally from the Waltham Forest area of London but recently moved to West Sussex. He is described as Afro-Caribbean, 6' tall, of stocky build with short dark brown hair and speaks with a London accent. He was seen on 9 August near Lancing railway station and was wearing blue jeans, black trainers and a brown jumper. A police spokesperson said: "It is now almost three months since we had a confirmed sighting of Gbombo. Due to his age and now the length of time he has been missing we are becoming increasingly concerned about him and need to know that he is safe and well."Police have carried out numerous enquiries to try and find Gbombo and hope that this renewed appeal will lead to him being found. If anyone has any information in relation to his whereabouts then please contact Sussex Police on 101 quoting serial 1723 of 9 August."

Police are searching for Chichester woman Susan Gaffney who went missing from her home in the city on Tuesday (October 30).

Susan, 51, was last seen at her home in St Wilfrid Road at 12.45pm and last heard from when she telephoned a friend around 6pm. It is thought that she may have the family car, a red Ford Focus, registration number T446 ROR.

She is described as white, 5' 6" - 5' 7", of average build, with brown, shoulder-length, wavy hair.

Sergeant Suzy Mitchell said: "Susan has not been well in recent weeks and has been very low. We are, therefore, very concerned for her welfare and would ask for anyone who sees her or her car to give us a call on 101 quoting serial 1396 of 30/10. If she is in danger or requires medical attention, please dial 999 immediately."
